Robin visited Quire St Nicolas in Adelaide, in February 2010.

I had previously made contact with the choir, when Colin Lehmann, one of their members, ordered a copy of our publication "West Gallery Christmas Music from Northamptonshire".  By coincidence, I had arranged a holiday for a few months later, including a trip along the Great Ocean Road, from Melbourne to Adelaide, so it was a great opportunity to meet Colin and the whole choir - or should I say "Quire".

They are a lovely bunch of people - and their singing isn't bad either!  They are directed by Lesley Lewis and their website is here.

Colin was kind enough to give me a quick tour of the area before returning to the hotel, but not before I had grabbed a photo of them all.

By a curious coincidence, our summer 2010 concert was at Higham Ferrers, where The Revd Canon Grant Brockhouse is well known to the Quire members!
