About the Choir

Kettering Camerata  are a four part mixed choir of around 30 singers who enjoy working together to present concerts of choral works from Byrd to Beatles, in and around Kettering and East Northamptonshire.  We rehearse during term times on Tuesday evenings, 7.30-9.30pm, at St Andrew's Church, Rockingham Road (just over the road from Sainsburys).

We don't hold auditions, but most of us read music (a little at least!).   We have three main concerts a year, drawing on mainstream choral works in our Autumn and Spring progammes and a lighter approach in the Summer. In the last two years, for instance, we have performed Mozart and Faure Requiems, Rutter and Poulenc Glorias, Bernstein Chichester Psalms.... as well as a wide range of lighter part songs from Gibbons to Cole Porter, and this summer, songs from Mama Mia....  We are making plans for a Messiah concert at Christmas 2011 and a programme of Stabat Maters at Easter 2012.

Under 'About' in the menu above, you can find lots more about the choir including past newsletters, photo galleries and more....
